Mentor feedback letters that cite slides, not vibes

Why written critiques beat verbal-only wrap-ups for capstone learners.

Verbal feedback evaporates under stress. A short letter with three bullet critiques and two strengths gives participants something to revisit while revising decks. Tie each critique to a slide number or section heading.

Keep tone descriptive: “Slide seven introduces three new metrics without defining the baseline” lands better than “unclear.” Encourage learners to respond with a revision plan rather than a debate.

Letters also help managers understand what changed between dry runs without attending every session.
